Rebecca Carroll

Research Assistant

“When I came across Talam, I was excited by its goal to reduce heavy metal pollution in crops using microbes. Heavy metal pollution is a problem at the forefront of food safety and crop production. I am proud to be a part of the groundbreaking work that is being carried out at Talam.”

As a recent graduate of University College Dublin, Rebecca found her passion — learning about how microbes can impact the growth and development of plants. She puts that passion to work every day as a plant research assistant at Talam where she helps set up experiments and collect data to see how Talam’s microbes perform. Whether it’s from a large pot trial to smaller-scale experiments, she is encouraged and excited when she gets positive results.
