For more than three decades, Tom has been working in ag biotech research and development, stemming from his passion for agriculture and how science can be used to improve food production, security and safety. He’s developed products that help protect crops from insect damage, better survive drought and improve their nutritional value. But what excites Tom most is his work today at Talam. Here he sets the company’s research strategy and leads a team of skilled scientists who are focused on using microbes to improve food safety in a natural, respectful and responsible way.
