Thaís finds microorganisms fascinating, viewing them as powerful agents to be harnessed for beneficial purposes. As a microbiologist at Talam, she designs and performs experiments aimed at isolating and identifying soil microbes capable of sequestering heavy metals from the soil, thus preventing their accumulation in our food chain.
