Little Spoon, the largest online baby and kids food company in the U.S., has expanded its leading food safety and testing standards across all product lines, including Biteables, Baby Puffs, Smoothies, and YoGos. The company has implemented even stricter internal thresholds for lead and mercury, surpassing EU-aligned benchmarks. This move follows growing concerns about baby food safety and reinforces Little Spoon’s leadership in ingredient transparency and safety.
Six months after launching a pioneering transparency initiative, Little Spoon remains the only baby food brand in the U.S. to publicly commit to strict limits for over 500 toxins and contaminants, refusing to sell any product that fails its testing standards. CEO Ben Lewis emphasized that 91% of parents surveyed expressed distrust in baby food companies, motivating Little Spoon to advocate for industry-wide reform and earn parents’ trust through action.
Joe Dickson, former Quality Standards Director at Whole Foods, praised Little Spoon’s unprecedented public safety standards. Since launching nationally in 2017, the company has delivered over 70 million meals, offering high-quality, convenient, and safe food options for children. Little Spoon continues to innovate and set new benchmarks in the industry, driven by its mission to make parents’ lives easier and children healthier.
